Senior Manager
Overview
F&W Forestry has an exciting opportunity for you to lead the forestry management team in the Scottish Highlands based from our Inverness office. We expect that you will manage and expand the company’s private and institutional client base in that area, engaging and meeting with new and existing clients, and maintaining a positive work environment.
You will be responsible for managing cost centre finances, ensuring that the centre maintains a profitable and cost-effective trading position, ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety, UKFS, and UKWAS standards at all times.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the effective management of the operating unit and the resources within, ensuring all members of staff are looked after and supported. Providing leadership to the team and driving forward the unit for growth and success. Manage the finances of the unit ensuring timely billing and cost control. Build client relationships through good communication. Take the lead in windfarm and other developments affecting our managed forests.
Requirements
We are seeking highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment. A minimum two-year forestry degree is required. An additional 5 years’ experience in a similar forestry field is preferred. Computer skills and other digital skills are necessary. Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
Essential Functions
Includes the ability to traverse distances over uneven terrain, work in outdoor forested areas for extended periods in a variety of environmental conditions, Must be able to work independently during the working week and completing tasks in a timely manner. Must have a UK driving licence.

Salary
